Get involved

Together, we can ensure local communities have access to trustworthy news and information.

Whether you’re a researcher, community advocate, or supporter of journalism, the LNIC invites you to join our mission. By contributing to our growth, participating in working groups, or engaging with the tools we’re building, you can help ensure local communities have access to trustworthy news and information.

Work with us

Join our coalition to rebuild sustainable, data-driven local news ecosystems.

The Local News Impact Consortium (LNIC) is tackling these challenges head-on by uniting researchers, journalists, and funders to rebuild sustainable, data-driven local news ecosystems. By developing standardized methods, open-source tools, and collaborative databases, we aim to measure the impact of local information systems and to develop scalable tools that can help others to replicate and expand this research.
